About us

GCNT Sdn. Bhd. is a deep-tech startup established in 2024 under the InnoHub Program at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). We specialize in the design, synthesis, and industrial application of graphenated carbon nanotubes (g-CNTs), a next-generation hybrid nanomaterial that seamlessly fuses the properties of carbon nanotubes and graphene into a single, unbreakable 3D structure. Driven by the strong research foundation of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2), we are positioning Malaysia as a global leader in advanced functional materials.

The Problem We Solve

For too long, the advanced materials sector has been constrained by imported nanomaterials that suffer from high costs, limited compatibility, and inconsistent performance. GCNT solves this by providing highly scalable, cost-effective, and globally competitive Malaysian-made alternatives. Through our patented, single-step Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, we bridge the gap between nanoscience and industrial reality.
